What Pactly is

Pactly is a commitment tracker built on Gmail and Google Calendar. Its single promise: every commitment gets tracked, every important follow-up gets surfaced, and nothing is forgotten. It extracts promises, unanswered threads, and deadlines from a user's inbox and calendar into one ranked queue, with a morning briefing, per-contact relationship memory, and measurable follow-through outcomes.

Pactly is operated by VR AI Solutions LLC and is currently in private beta.

Integrations

Architecture

• Node.js web application with a PostgreSQL database, hosted on Render.
• Google OAuth 2.0 with PKCE; per-user token storage, tokens encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM).
• Commitment extraction runs on Pactly's servers using a local heuristic engine — email content is not sent to third-party AI services.
• Multi-account: users can link several Google accounts; sync, data, and access grants are isolated per account.
• Strict per-user data isolation on every query; no cross-account visibility.

Privacy practices

Pactly processes Gmail and Calendar data solely to provide its commitment-tracking functionality. Full message bodies are processed in memory during sync and never stored — only extracted metadata (titles, contacts, dates, short excerpts) is retained. Users can export or delete all of their data at any time, and revoke Google access from within the app or from their Google Account settings.
